Debrief 001 | [Action/Voice] | Déjà vu?

[Coulson wakes up, trees to his left and right and a path right in front of him. A short distance down the path and to the right he can see a house, actually he can see a few houses from where he is. Everything seems familiar.

The sensation of familiarity is disquieting at first, until everything comes back.

Well... that explains a lot.

Coulson looks around and spots his journal, but sadly there are no clothes this time. So he's stuck in the usual new feather garb of white pants. After being in dark suits for most of his life, he's not sure he likes those pants. With the nice new scar on his chest and back, he's not sure he likes the fact he's shirtless. Also, there is a chill in the air which makes being shirtless very uncomfortable.

Using the mountains and the river, both to his left, he manages to orient himself. With this knowledge he heads towards town center to visit the clothing shop and get dressed. You may run into him a he heads to the clothing shop. Feel free to notice the fresh looking scar almost directly over his heart (but not actually) and the bigger one on his back. Coulson may greet you, but mainly he's focusing on getting to the clothing shop. Unless things happen.]

((ooc; Location is over by House 4, just a short distance up the path leading towards the farmlands.))

[After getting clothes and after whatever adventures happen while he was getting clothing, Coulson puts together a first new post to the Luceti community.]

Greetings Luceti.

My name is Phil Coulson. I have been here before a few months back before... leaving and it seems I have returned.

As far as I know I don't have any unfinished business from before, but If I did have some with you please remind me.

I have probably missed a lot, but is there anyone whose willing to give me a brief summary of things I've missed? I'd be grateful.

[Small pause.]

I think that's all... No wait, Rogue, do you still need help at the item shop? Sorry for leaving you in the lurch.

[Coulson smiles slightly at that, even if it's a bit sad.]

I think you've been punished enough. This is not home, not SHIELD. While I'm sure I could make up some paperwork for you to do if it'd make you feel better there really isn't anything I feel would be right for me to assign.

[Phil is relieved to hear that Clint's arms are okay but still has this ansty feeling that he needs to see Clint's arms and check for himself. While he trusts Pepper, Billy and Sue, there is something comforting about checking himself]

Good. That's good.

[He stands and takes a step towards Clint.]

May I check?

[It's one of those habits he's picked up as an Agent and handler. And not one likely to go away.]

Trust me, sir, telling you this is bad enough.

[He'd worked hard to earn his level of trust and clearance within SHIELD after he'd been brought in. More than that, he'd worked hard to earn the trust of Coulson and Fury.

He doesn't move when Coulson comes towards him, although he relaxes a little, and nods his assent.]

Of course, Sir.

[He shrugs his jacket off, letting Coulson check on the wounds, or lack therof.]

[Because Loki is a dick.]

Yes. Very ...interesting.

[And by interesting he means annoying.]

Yeah.

Hopefully not that common... It'd certainly be an interesting statistic though.

Probably had something similar. It's not an uncommon thing, though most modern money comes from companies and corporations not the average citizen.

[If having a boss for a vampire is more innocent, your brain is very weird Kurt. But the image of Fury as a vampire and a messy drinker makes Coulson laugh slightly.]

Sadly no. Actually I'm not sure if it's my blood or someone elses... But he got it on my cards to make a point. And to bring the Avengers together apparently.

You'd be surprised. There's a lot of these Earth's that have magic of some kind or another. On mine, the weirdest we have is Nessie.

[Eep. Coulson tries to dodge the Bantha lick of greeting but only partial succeeds. Instead of full slobber bath, he only gets a partial one. Still kinda gross.]

...Well. He's friendly.

[Eww slobber. Coulson shakes the stuff off his hands and then wipes at his face. It was mostly his right side that got slobbered on luckily. Instead of a full body slobber shower.]

Sorry, he likes you though.

[Luke rubs at the back of his shaggy neck]

Hamal, this is Phil. Phil, meet Hamal.

I suppose that is true.

[Wait, did you jut say...?]

...The Loch Ness monster is real in your world?

Yep. My girlfriend wooed her by singing.

[...There is so much just plain weird about that sentence.]

So, the Loch Ness monster exists is your world, is female and can be ...wooed by singing?

...That is more plausible than it was any right to be.

That's right. Someone was also trying to abduct her for a show. We rescued her.

I'd hate to see what he'd do if he didn't like me.

[At least he's only in casual clothes not a suit. And he has a jacket on which he can take off later. Once inside.

Phil looks at Hamal and smiles slightly, despite the slobber.]

Nice to meet you Hamal. ...Do you think I could, uh, pet him?

[Because, it's a Bantha. How would that not be awesome to pet? Phil's always thought the Bantha were kinda cool. Especially of the animals shown in the Star Wars series.]

I ain't saying they'd come at you all at once now, but... [She trailed off with a shrug.] If you wanna talk with Raine about emphasizing it in the Guide, or makin' a reminder at the end of every cycle, that should be okay.

...I though you were a thief. Then again, I suppose you stole her from the abductor. Still, a rather odd adventure. Have many like that?

I've stolen a lot of strange things, and not all of them are treasure that can be held and kept. It's an interesting life.

That's good to know. I'd be hard-pressed to finance a war back home. [It was a different case if you counted the Professor's money, but hey.

And the possibility of it being Coulson's blood, that does weird him out a bit. ...Even if he doesn't know the half of it.]

Then your boss just has a really odd way of getting his workers motivated. What exactly are the Avengers?

Then consider that your punishment from me.

[Clint hasn't lost that trust mind you. At least, not Coulson's, though he is a bit disappointed.

Phil nods back and waits for Clint to remove his jacket before moving and taking one of Clint's arms in careful hands. He tests the muscle in question and probes with careful fingers before switching to Clint's other arm and repeating the tests. Finally satisfied that his agent is indeed healed from the damage Phil let's Clint's arm go before resting a hand on his shoulder and lightly squeezing.]

Glad you got help. Those three are good people... If you'd been left permanently injured. Well. [For the barest of moments there is something absolutely chilling about Coulson. Before it slips away like early morning fog in the dawn sun.] I'm glad your okay.

Oh? Now those sound like interesting stories. I wouldn't mind hearing about those some time.

Those are both good ideas. Hmmm, well the additional emphasis in the guide would mean less work but it could still be overlooked...

[Coulson looks thoughtful.]

Both could work. I'll think about it some more, since I'd rather have the inventory mostly done before anything goes out.

[Man, he is gung-ho about that inventory. Well, it help him feel useful. And less stir-crazy.]

[He sits back as Coulson checks his arms, nothing that he hasn't been through in medical a thousand times before. They are, after all, one of his main assets. There's nothing wrong with them either. He's been shooting for weeks now without problem.

And that look on Coulson's face when he speaks is pretty terrifying. It's the look he gets when something gets utterly fucked up.]

Me too, Coulson. Trust me. Got give people a reason to keep me around.

So are most people. A lot of people during world war 2 also couldn't really donate much. They could also do work to help like gathering scrap or helping in factories. It was a different time... [Yes, he knows quite a bit about World War II. As to be expected from a Captain America fan.

Coulson is mainly pissed that Fury did it at all.]

Well. It worked. Ah, the Avengers are a group of well, superheros. Really it was more of a initiative than a group, but they came together as a team in the end. And stopped an alien invasion.

You know, I feel like I'd learn things a lot easier with someone like you as a history teacher.

Whoa! An alien invasion? You guys got a bunch of superheroes to come together and beat aliens to avenge... a bunch of trading cards?

He'd just ignore you.

[He gestures]
