[The first thing anyone will notice is that Coulson's handwriting looks disturbingly like printed type which means it is very neat and very very easy to read.]

Greetings to residents of Luceti. My name is Phil Coulson. I have recently arrived here, and was wondering if anyone could answer my questions.

1. What do the wings do?
2. Where is Luceti?
3. Are there places the newly arrived may stay?
4. Where may I procure a sewing kit? Or new Clothes?
5. Anyone know good ways of getting blood out of clothing?
6. Is there anyone here who knows of SHIELD, The Avengers Initiative, or knows me?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Coulson takes in all the clothing.]

That's good. My wallet was not with my clothes when I woke up.

[Coulson quickly locates the dress shirts. He finds a new white one that looks like it will fit. In any normal situation, especially after being an Agent of SHIELD for such a long time, Coulson would change shirts right there. However, he now has a nifty new scars where he didn't have a scars before. That makes things... different.

He looks for a dressing room.]

[Steve has seen his fair share of scars, but he also understands why Coulson wouldn't feel comfortable being on display.]

There isn't any place to change, if that's what you're looking for. I could turn around though, if you want.

[Coulson looks mildly sheepish but nods at Steve's offer.]

The scars are just too new, too raw, tied up in a whole bundle of emotions Coulson doesn't feel like sharing.]

[Steve nods and dutifully turns. But after a moment of silence he starts talking. There are a few more subjects of interest he still needs to tell him.]

We're not the only ones from our world that are here. Tony Stark and Pepper Potts are here as well. And...Howard Stark. [It still felt strange mentioning Howard so candidly. He hasn't quite gotten over feeling like he would never see the man again.]

But aside from us, there are many people here from different realities, but from worlds that are similar to our own. Other worlds that know of the Avengers, and Tony and I.

[Coulson starts to change as soon as Steve's back is turned removing the ruined shirt quickly. His fingers brush over the new scar tissue and he pauses momentarily, having a brief flashback to the helicarrier. A moment later he shakes it off.

Oh, but Steve had been talking.]

Interesting. Tony, Pepper and Mr. Stark you say?

[Coulson slides the new shirt on and buttons it up.]

Other worlds? Well, how odd. Never though about other worlds before... Similar to out own?

Oh, and I've finished changing.

Yeah. But Howard...doesn't know Tony is his son. And that's how Tony wants it to stay. He and Pepper will probably tell you the same if you run into them. [Although Steve is against the idea of keeping a secret like that some Howard, he did make a promise, so he's sticking to it.] So if you can just make sure not to mention it to him, that would be great.

Very similar in some ways. The Avengers seem to be a pretty popular phenomena in worlds where super heroes exist. There's even one where there are multiple super hero teams such as the Fantastic Four and the X-Men.

[He turns back around after Coulson ensures him he's finished.]

[Coulson frowns at this information. However it is not his secret to tell so...] I understand. I won't tell him. Seems like a bad idea in the long run, but... I understand.

[He understands quite well. After all, there is a file about Howard in the SHIELD archives, just like there's one about Tony, and he read both before dealing with Tony. There is a lot of history between the father and son duo. None of it ever really resolved.]

Well, the Avengers are a good idea. Multiple superhero teams are interesting though. Not a bad idea actually... It's always good to have backup.

Where to next?

I was thinking we'd go by the Item Shop next. See if there's anything of yours that was dropped there when you arrived. That's where I had to go to find my shield.

Sounds good to me. I wasn't carrying much on me before I arrived though, so I don't think we'll find much.

[Coulson gestures for Steve to lead the way.]

[Steve leads them out of the shop and down the street a ways. He thinks over the things he's mentioned, combing it over to make sure he hadn't left any important information out.]

Tony is actually calling a meeting for all of us and the people from worlds similar to ours. We think that if we can all put our heads together we can figure out why so many versions of our universe seem to exist here.

[Coulson follow, observe the plaza a he does.]

That seems like a good idea. Very interesting. Are there many people here from world's similar to our own?

Yes. From what I've been told there are quite a few. I've met a couple of them.

[The pass a couple more buildings before Steve stops in front of one and pulls the door open.]

I see. Alternate worlds has never really been seriously pursued by SHIELD. We should probably fix that actually...

[Coulson enters taking in the shop and all the things in it.]

Nice shop.

[Deciding to start by looking for his wallet Coulson starts looking through the things]

I know for a fact that at least one of these alternate worlds has a SHIELD of its own.

[Steve walks in after him and keeps off to the side. He would offer to help the man look, but he had no idea what he'd be looking for. So instead he stands to the side and scans the tables full of items.

...Until something familiar catches him eyes.]

Um, Agent Coulson? I think I might have found something of yours.

That's interesting. Then again, if the world are similar it's not that surprising either.

[Coulson peruses a table, before picking up a plain brown wallet. A quick check shows that it's not his. He sets it back down, wondering if things other than what he had on him before he arrived will show up.

At Steve's comment he turns towards him.]

What is it?

[He steps up to the table in front of him and grabs something off the table. Then he spreads them out, idly straightening any bends in the corner, before he hands them off to Coulson.]

These. [None other than his collector Captain America cards.]

[Coulson takes the cards, looking surprised and pleased until he gets a good look.

Then his face goes blank and he stares at the cards.

And stares.

And-]

Is that blood? Why is there blood on my cards!?

[Oh, he sounds angry.]

[He looks between the cards and Coulson and winces. It's too bad there's nothing Steve knows of that can get dried blood off of cards. Coulson had seemed to treasure the cards and now all they'd be is a reminder that he should be dead.]

They were found in your coat pocket. Fury used them to throw our failure in our faces. But he was right to do so. We needed something to bring us together as a team. We needed something to avenge.
