[The first thing anyone will notice is that Coulson's handwriting looks disturbingly like printed type which means it is very neat and very very easy to read.]

Greetings to residents of Luceti. My name is Phil Coulson. I have recently arrived here, and was wondering if anyone could answer my questions.

1. What do the wings do?
2. Where is Luceti?
3. Are there places the newly arrived may stay?
4. Where may I procure a sewing kit? Or new Clothes?
5. Anyone know good ways of getting blood out of clothing?
6. Is there anyone here who knows of SHIELD, The Avengers Initiative, or knows me?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

[Coulson had mostly thought the pain was a remnant from being stabbed in the chest. Now that he's focusing though the wings themselves do seem to ache. They also pull on the scar, making more aching. It's a cycle.]

[Coulson gives a small frown.]

I can't think of any good reason for a barcode on a living being.

[But, he'll deal with that bridge when they get to it.]

Probably because there isn't one. [Spoken in an appropriately dry tone.] The Malnosso don't usually give many reasons for the things they do. At least that's what I've been told.

[Certainly nothing satisfactory to the people trapped in Luceti.]

You'll probably want to go to the Item Shop next. They'll have your personal possessions, although there's a different store for weapons.

True.

They prefer to keep everyone in the dark? Sounds like any large organization... [That statement is full of an irony that Coulson recognizes easily. SHIELD keeps pretty much everyone it meets in the dark. It's safer that way sometimes.

Coulson looks thoughtful.]

All I had on me was my wallet. There is nothing in there that won't keep. I am interested in the weapons shop though.

[His taser and sidearm would be lovely. Especially his taser.]

I'm afraid so. [Pepper thinks it's probably better not to comment on large organizations keeping things in the dark. Not after what she's learned about SHIELD and Phase Two.

She's not entirely surprised to hear he'd prefer to go to the weapons shop first. She leads him out of the clothing store, then over to the very next building.]

I haven't been here before myself, so I'm not sure about the set up.

[Coulson appreciates her discretion at not taking a shot at SHIELD. Even though he works for SHIELD he does not always approve of their... methods. Still they do more good than bad overall.

He follows, observing the plaza and the location of the shops, adding them to a mental map.]

Don't worry about it.

[Coulson looks over the shops interior before starting to look for his taser.]

It may not be here after all.

[He looks at Pepper.]

You ever considered carrying a taser? I don't know how safe Luceti is.... It might be prudent.

[Coulson doesn't want you getting hurt Pepper. After all you are his friend. And he doesn't want to deal with Tony if you ever get hurt.]

Well, there are a lot of things here. [Racks and shelves full of weapons, many of which Pepper doesn't even recognize.] And it could still show up later, so you'll definitely want to keep checking.

[When Phil poses the question, Pepper laughs a bit.] Honestly? I haven't, although you're probably right. [She lets out a sigh.] Even if it's a little hard to believe. Things are incredibly quiet around here.

It is a decent selection. [Coulson dose recognize most of them. There are a few exotic ones which he doesn't recognize, but he's not worried about them too much.] I'll keep that in mind.

[Coulson gives a small smile.] I would have been surprised if you had thought about it.

The quiet before the storm, quite possibly. Still, you may never need it while you are here. It's more for peace of mind, and a sense of security.

[He shrugs.]

Also a taser is simple to use, non-lethal, and easy to conceal. Unlike a firearm.

[The argument is perfectly sound, and it's not hard to guess that Coulson is trying to look out for her. Pepper appreciates it, even if she's still hesitant about the idea.]

I'll think about it, although I'd hate to take something belonging to someone else. [Even if weapons are apparently well-stocked.]

Alright. Well, if you do decide to pick one up, let me know. It's simple to use but some training can help.

[Coulson surveys the weapons again before shaking his head.]

My taser isn't here yet. Oh well.
