[Waking up to everything being changed is always... disturbing. Especially if it's what you are wearing and sleeping on.
Phil sits up from where he's now laying on a futon and looks around, mildly perplexed until he remembers the earlier announcement. He cradles his head with a groan then slides out of the futon to see if there is something other than this lightweight sleep robe to wear.
Well. There's a few things.
Phil immediately dismisses the Samurai armor as a possible choice. The next outfit is... oh someone is playing a cosmic joke. It's a set of ninja wear. Phil purses his lips as he stares at them before shaking his head. Growing exasperated and a bit chill in the thin robe he grabs the next outfit and pulls it out. It's a set of Monks robes.
...Certainly better than the other options. Phil changes into the robes which are surprisingly comfortable and heads out to see what exactly has happened.
The Shogunate area is interesting, and it seems the new 'citizens' of the area are respecting the robes. He's not had much trouble.
Perhaps he'll explore some more...]
Day one
[Starting off in Shogunate area, Phil ends up wandering into the Ice Age. Even though his outfit is relatively warm, the cold still sinks into his chest. You may find him walking through the snow and muttering or coughing as his lungs protest the cold air he is now breathing.
Since the Ice age is unpleasant for the man, Phil heads for a different area.
From Cold to heat, the next area he finds if the Nile. The furs from earlier morph into a ancient scribes outfit, meaning his scars are in plain sight. While the heat feel better than the gripping cold of before it's still rather unpleasant. At least it' a dry heat. Trudging through the sand and admiring the pyramids from a distance is how Phil spends his time in the Nile. However he'd like to get back home sooner rather than later. The Ice Age is a no go area so he heads back by another route and another area.
In Gangland Phil finds his clothes have changed close to what he normally wears, minus the suit jacket and plus a waistcoat and a fedora. All in shades of charcoal. While the clothes are a nice change from the earlier areas, the area itself is more dangerous. Still it seems simple enough to avoid antagonizing anything.
Finally he makes it back to the Shogunate and the simple monk robes. The day has been surprisingly draining.]
Days 2-Event End
[Phil kicks back and relaxes in the Shogunate area. He's not adverse to helping anyone who scavenging in the area but is not actively participating in the hunt himself.
You may notice he's coughing a bit, but if you bring it up he waves it off as a light cold from his earlier escapade in the ice age. It sounds plausible...]
((ooc; Run into him wherever on the first day but he's firmly sticking to the Shogunate area for days 2-4))

Well enough. Just when I think you can't find new and inventive ways of doing more paperwork, sir, you have to go and prove me wrong.
no subject
I do my best to keep you on your toes. New and creative paperwork is the best way to do that I find.
Besides, origami is quite soothing. [Also, it didn't require enough writing to turn his fingertips black or turning it into a grumpy Director Fury.]
no subject
[Her tone is dry as she leans her arms on the table to watch him, but her expression holds genuine warmth as she props her chin in her hand.]
Is it? It looks like it would be frustrating to me, but I'll take your word for it. At least it goes well with our new decor. Have you been out exploring much?
no subject
[Phil continues to fold, taking care to make each one as exact as possible. He gives an amused hum.]
Compared to everything else? This isn't even half as frustrating.
I went out a bit near the beginning of the event. Visited an Ice age, what looked like ancient Egypt, and some sort of 1930's gangster era. But since then I've stayed around here mostly.
[Phil turns the page and check the next direction.]
Can I borrow a knife for a moment?
[Because of course Natasha has a knife on her. This is a fact of her being, well, her.]
no subject
There's a space area that looks like it's a mix between Disney World and the Jetson's. Otherwise, you didn't miss much.
[Which is true, as far as sightseeing goes. Natasha's discovered much more than she intended, but she's trying not to brood on that too much. Instead, she focuses on the movement of his hands, the concentration and focus he puts into what he's doing. Surprisingly, just watching him work is more relaxing than she expected.]
no subject
[Phil accepts the knife then proceeds to make the cuts as directed by the book. He hands it back to Natasha.]
That sounds interesting. ...If a lot like a Stark Expo. [More noticeably Howard's Stark Expo's not Tony's.]
Did you go 'sightseeing'?
[Fingers continue to fold, forming strange spindly legs from the shape. Soon enough it was done and Phil placed the red origami Spider on the table. He nudged it towards Natasha as he took another sheet of paper, this one a double-sided Maroon-gray. He flipped to another page and started to fold again.]
((ooc; Man those are some convenient origami paper colors.
Not pictured; his hunt for those very specific bits of origami paper.))no subject
[Her tone is wry, because the only Stark Expo she's ever experienced had been... memorable, to say the least.
Her lips quirk at the question and the meaning behind it.]
Oh, yes. I had a lovely time. I found a good many souvenirs. Hopefully someone will find some use for them. Although it's a shame I can's keep the dagger. It's rather nice.
[She smiles when he pushes the spider towards her, her expression warming with fond amusement as she picks it up and studies it. She doesn't miss his next choice, already able to guess what he'll be shaping next.]
no subject
[Explosions seem to follow the Starks around. Especially at Expo's.
Phil hums thoughtfully.]
Do you need more daggers, or is this one particularly nice?
[Hush you.
More careful folds and the origami bird takes shape quickly. It's head is gray while the body is the maroon color and he carefully places it on the table in front of him. There is the slightest of sly smiles dancing about his lips even as he nudges the bird over towards Natasha.
Then he flips through the book a bit, contemplating what he should do next. Finally he settles on another complex design. He pulls out a simple black and white patterned piece of paper and starts his folding.]
no subject
[She balances the spider by one of its legs on the tip of her finger, watching it wobble as she holds it there, gaze focused on an activity while she otherwise relaxes across from him.]
I could always use more daggers. But yes, this one was rather nice. Perhaps I'll think of commissioning one. I hear there's a blacksmith in town, yes?
[She smiles when he slides the bird across to her, picking it up and examining it with the same sort of fascination as she had the spider.]
You're really very good at this, Coulson.
no subject
[SHIELD and it's paperwork...]
Yes, there's a blacksmith. I believe it's called... 'Slash 'n Crash'. In the plaza. Would you like some dagger's form Christmas?
[It is only slightly longer than a month away now.
Phil gives Natasha faint smile.]
It's rather simple if you follow the directions and be patient. And it's definitely not a complicated as filling out some of SHIELD's forms are.
no subject
Clever name. I may have to stop by there one day soon. And you don't need to do that, Coulson. Although I'd almost forgotten that was so near.
[She makes a face, because holidays are ever a strange experience for her, but she puts effort into them anyway, usually for Clint's sake.]
That's a matter of opinion. I can bullshit my way through at least half those forms. This? [She holds up the origami spider.] Not so much.
no subject
It's Christmas, Natasha. [He gives her a look.] I don't need to do anything. I want to. [A flash of a smile.]
I know you can. [He's filed your forms Natasha, believe me, he knows.] I suppose that's true.
[He finishes the final fold of the origami cat and sets it up to stand in front of him.]
no subject
[Natasha taps a fingertip on the table in front of the black and white cat, her expression curious and amused.]
Is this you then, Sir?
no subject
The mention of Clint searching for grenades makes him groan quietly.]
Thank you for the reminder. No grenade Christmas decorations. Not after what happened last time.
[He gives the cat a look and shrugs.]
Sure, why not. Then we have a complete set.
[Suddenly he looks thoughtful, and fishes through his stack of origami paper. He hums as he pulls out a few different colored sheets. Colors which happen to make up the color schemes of the Avengers as a matter of fact.]
...What animals do you think work for the Avengers?
